Had dpf removed and the software on pd 170 and has been going into regen

Featured Replies

Hi there got a 2008 pd 170 and got the dpf removed and the software and it has been going into regen to my amazement and the car had been stuck in limp mode for 2 days which had dpf light on, coil flashing, eml light on and had code p2002 stored whch was dpf bank 1 malfunction and smoking and smelling really strong, after the 2 days the lights dissapeared and now drivig okay how is this possible when the software has been removed? or could it be any other problems? and also the cruise control has stopped working since.

"dpf removal" looks to not have worked. I'd be going back to them!

any possible damage that can occur??

You need to go back to your tuner, the car should never go in to a full-on regen if the DPF removal has been done correctly in the software.
