Revo Software

Featured Replies

I know i know ANOTHER remap thread! ...sorry!

I have been looking around, starting to miss the feeling of power under my right foot, probably looking to bite the bullet on a remap soon and started looking at revo.

I have heard many times before here that SPS is not possible on the 1.4tsi ecu, although revo seem to think it is!?

Has this recently changed, or am I going wrong somewhere?

I spoke to shark tuning and they said that revo simply install the remap and allow the SPS to switch between revo software and a standard map, not the original map but a standard version, so at the end of the day Skoda could tell its mapped

Ahhh I see, Thanks!

That's correct. The revo standard setting is still a remapped ecu setting, but one that emulates the standard output of the car. So whilst driving it in 'revo stock' mode they might not realize it was mapped, they would still be able to find out very quickly by plugging it in.

Every trip to the dealer nowadays involves a diagnostic scan anyway :dull:

Mine is going in for a simple lubrication service next week, the local skoda dealer still performs a scan apparently!

TMC all the way if your as worried about warranty as me, I'm well impressed with mine!

Can you sent me a pm or write on here a little review please? Cheers!

I'd be interested to hear a VRS review on this too. The TMC guys do seem to offer good user feedback on the Audi forums.

TMC Audi A1 - 185ps thread

Seems settings 6-7 are the best options?

I've had it on now for about 3 weeks, and its been brilliant, there is a fair amount more power, enough to notice anyway, there is no misfires it just runs how the car did before but with more power, i managed a 0-60 of 5.9 and that was a crap start, i think a couple more tenths could be shaved off that. Cant fault it, i have it set on 6 not bothered going any higher, and i don't think i will need to throughout winter either.

Can't really comment on fuel consumption as i haven't done a brim to brim yet but on half a tank i used and filled up it worked out at 35mpg and the trip computer was only showing 31mpg, this was a lot of town driving which is mainly all i do so it's not bad.

The other advantage i find over a remap is its removable and un-detectable and when it comes to sell the car i can sell the box on too!

just ask if you want to know anything else

i thought Skoda Dealerships offered the Revo map direct from them and that way you got warranty with it

Not a skoda uk warranty.
