A question for people with Skoda in dash cup holder!

Featured Replies

I am looking at getting a in dash pop out cup holder from theskodashop : Link

What i need to know is if it will hold 500ml water bottles and large coffee cups from the likes of Costa? Saves me buying it to find out its no good!

Yes mate, a mcds large cup fits nicely as does a 500ml bottle. Don't know about the costa cup though!

I'd say cost is a similar cup to mcd's! Cheers for the info

Costa cups can be problematic due to the ridged design of the cup, But with a bit of gentle persuasion they'll fit, Starbuck and Maccy D cups aren't an issue!

I personally don't put bottles in mine as there's no way to secure them!

500ml bottles will "sit" in the holder, but no good if the car is moving as it will fall out! coffee cups r no problem:D

Anyone got pictures of this cup holder stowed away? I'm assuming it uses the thin strip blank on the side of the radio (seems to by the link)

Spot on! Thanks

Bought and fitted this last weekend. Fits in passenger side.

Remove the vertical panel strip, the black button above and the heater control surround.

On my car there were 2 mounting screws hidden behind the top and bottom panels

Slide the holder in screw in. 2 minute job.

It does hold my large insulated mug but doesn't feel as solid as the one in my old W reg polo.. It'll be fine holding a smaller cup

When pressed into the dash it fits exactly where the blank panel was.

37quid!? Surely these arent that expensive from the dealers?

They are indeed :)

Price doesn't surprise me. I broke a cup holder on a previous car and VW wanted nearly £50 for it!

how do you remove the strip and the blank? in what way do these 'pop' out?

Start with the fan switch surround, pop that off then work your way up
