i noticed the cargo volume has increased by 20-30 litres in both estate & hatch - is that correct!?!?

estate before = 585 / 1620 litres

estate this brochure = 605 / 1655 litres

hatch before = 565 / 1420 litres

hatch this brochure = 585 /1455 litres

wats the deal there?!?!?

front & rear legrooms haven't changed, neither has the floorlength.

where did this extra space come from? or the australian brochures have had it wrong the whole time!!!

It should have been 585, either they got it wrong or it was down to the variable boot floor option. Possibly if this is taken into account it's right and now it's not standard?

As io1901 suggested the independant heater is a small diesel burner that takes fuel from the main tank and pre-heats the car. This has been available in Scandinavian and continental countries for a number of years.

The system is quite advanced - if you have maxidot you can program it to switch on at a set time of day or you can use the remote control. It is also smart enough to ensure that it never empties the fuel tank leaving you stranded.

It's a great bit of kit but at £1000 it's only really worth it if you have a lot of early starts or have and extra grand burning a hole in your pocket.

The new & updated Octavia brochure is now available for download and it includes the new Rally Green & Red Stitched upholstery as well. It comes into effect on November 1st.

Just a quick thanks for the post.

My new vRS is due for arrval in January. I had opted for Onyx interior agian because i didn't want leather (althogh the white bit is a pain to keep clean!!)

I have now managed to change my seats for Alcantara heated seats for £300 (£83 straight swap or £225 for heated)

Even D.M Keith weren't aware you could now get Alcantara on the vRS!! I showed them your link from here and they went through my order and lo and behold it was there as an option.

So again BIG thanks for the Thread.

I've asked for this upholstery now as well. Hopefully the dealer wont mind changing the order now that all the paperwork has been done. Build date is miles away, wk 1 2012.

My build date was 21/11 /11 and they said i was too late to change so i cancelled it and re-ordered.

D.M Keigh were sound about it and in real terms my cancelled car was due Mid Jan and the new one only has a 8 to 10 week lead time so it will arrive mid Jan anyway!

They also said it may even arrive before that. weird eh?

Was there any charges with cancellation etc? i.e did you loose your deposit?

Eh? Brochure I have from '09 shows 605 litres for the estate?

No, neither, but then again I'm leasing it from them so it may be different if you're buying.

At the end of the day your the customer and they want to keep you happy I suppose.

Still no electrically folding mirrors in the UK on the VRS in the brochure. Option in Ireland and apparently available here if you twist the dealers arm. Madness.

that would make sense, however we never got the variable boot floor as standard.

put simply, skoda aus got their figures wrong in their brochures!!! no surprises there.

To those that have amended their order to include the new alacantra upholstery option - do you know how the dealer accomplished this? My dealer's been trying for a week to change and add via their system, but is unable to. They've now contacted Skoda directly and are waiting for a response.

I've built up my hopes for the all black option now, am I likley to be told no? Build date is currently week 1 2012

It is there on their system under Onyx/alcantara I saw it in DM Keith with my own very eyes!!

They may Barry bullsh1tting you to keep with original order simply because it's already in the "system" and to change it would be a hassle.

As I said I cancelled my original order as it had gone too far for anything to change, but that had a November build date so fair enough.

Yours being a Next year build , I can't see the problem of changing it.
