:'( hi all, i have a mk1 octavia vrs :D i love it,and have only had it a few weeks, the mods have started with drilled and grooved discs with ebc red stuff pads, hid conversion and an upgraded dump valve (recirculating) anyway not bad for my first few weeks! but my problem is the dump valve( ebay jobbie! :dull: ) it looks great billet aluminium ,but upon arrival there were three different springs provided, the fitted spring was solid .and as my car is standard bar a remap,i decided to change the spring to a one closely matching the original.so upon striping it i found it contained metal swarf  ,not good as it bypasses the air filter!! last thing i want is swarf in the intake.so after cleaning it out and refitting etc i noticed there was no gasket inbetween the two halves??? and there is a swivel on one of the metal pipes coming out of the dump valve???is thaat right??as surely it would leak boost???? also after test driving it im sure it feels slower??not as urgent when on boost??and the turbo whistle note has changed?? should i junk this and refit original?? or seal up this billet one??? help!!!! advice appreciated!!!! :D

I'd send it back m8 and get a compbrake or a forge one. Sounds really badly made

thinking you might be right mate! will send it back, and post a feedback warning on ebay,to be honest if i had not had stripped it,could of wrecked my engine!

Compbrake one is well made and i havent had any issues in a year of putting it on.

Yup, Compbrake here too, no problems in 10 months

The issue was too soft a spring which is why it was bleeding off under load.....sounds poor quality from your description above.

Buying cheap just means you buy twice!

The best in the world sell their stuff without eBay!
