I have conducted a search but cant seem to find where or how I can tell what engine code my Fabia VRS is? Any help on what is probably blindingly obvious would be great. Oh and by the way its a 55 plate MK1 VRS.

Lift the boot carpet, engine code is on a sticker, and will most likely be ASZ

Ah thanks very much for that, so most probably I have an ASZ engine? How does it compare to the BLT engine? Or are they practically identical? As I have read on here the BLT is a more powerful lump?

They are near enough identical, only BLT complies with euro 4 emission as it has cooled EGR etc.
