I have VCDS Lite and a cheapo cable (sorry, would love to buy a genuine one but funds don't allow )

I'm looking to change from fixed servicing to variable. Can this be done with VCDS Lite? Does it require full registered VCDS Pro? Either way, where's the option to change it? I have a mate with full VCDS who would be willing to do it but doesn't know where the option is.

Also in future when the service indicator is needed to be reset, can this be done with VCDS Lite? (I know it can be reset via the stalk, but this changes back to fixed servicing :no: )

Thanks for that Gizmo. Looks as though SRI is not available with VCDS Lite (v1.1 anyway)

I was wondering about the variable service switch. Is long life oil the only stipulation? What about the oil filter? Anyway, I will have to research a bit more.
