winter tyres are on!

Featured Replies

Winter tyres fitted today by local mobile fitter on my driveway.

4 tyres valved, balanced and torque tightened for £ 30. Summer michelins in the shed until spring.

You can get better than a kiwk fit fitter...

Put mine on today, simply due to time. Hopefully it will cool down anyway and the car wont be used until the end of next week as it will be in the body shop

Yes Damo - in my experience, "ditch finder" is a perfect word for them!

It's not brand snobbery either, my preferred tyre is a humble Falken 452 (got Kuhmos on my Octavia at the moment, which I'm impressed with).

My winter tyres are Kumho KW-27, which I fitted yestaerday. I was very impressed last year- summer tyres are Conti SC3. SWMBO's Lupo has Kumho KH-31, which are way, way better than the Nankangs it used to wear.

cool down? I followed a gritter home from Glasgow tonight, +1 degrees and there was plenty of ice on the windscreens this morning :wonder:
