Hi everyone, joined this morning, just purchased a Skoda Octavia VRS Estate this week, has a few issues to fix, but pleased with the purchase so far.

Apparently the last owner purchased it off someone on this site a few years ago!

Anyway, fairly mechanically minded, work on VW Golfs, Bora's, Skoda etc on a regular basis (Not the new stuff!)

Love my cars, this is my 92nd, used to Rally alot, getting to old now so just like tinkering!!

First Skoda Ive owned can't wait to get out on the road, all 237bhp of it.....................

I wish !! I'm just an old git that changes cars like my socks.

Sold to many of them for nothing at the time and some are worth a fortune now!

Would love to hang on to the VRS and see what its worth in 20 years time

We were lowering the passenger front window which went all the way to the bottom, accompanied by a horrible clattering. That was it stuck down, any attempts to raise it just produced the rattling. Luckily it was in the middle of a heatwave. Took the door card off and motor but can only lift the window up 2" to try to get to the clamps. There's a cable with a nipple visible loose inside the door by the locking button which is draped over a pulley (see photo, sorry about the socks). Any suggesti

Hi All, I have recently inherited a 2015 Skoda Fabia from my late Grandad, at current it has the Bolero (I think) 5Q0035820. I have been told in order to get Android Auto I should upgrade this to the 5Q0035842. To do this is the only thing I need to change the box behind the glovebox or do I need to change the screen as well. Additionally I have found a listing for a 5Q0035842B from a Skoda Octavia, am I correct in thinking this will work in my Fabia.

Hi! My media player keeps getting stuck in a bootloop. Before it started every other time i started the car but this last year its started only once. I was suggested to change the harddrive cause they though it was corrupt so i bought a new one but i dont have any software and cant find any place to buy the base software to install and not just updates. Any tips for what to do or if any has the software available.

Hi all after some help/advise my son as just got himself a 2015 Fabia and we have been trying to set up Android Auto with is phone can only find mirror link which does not work cant find Android Auto in the menu Please see pic of head unit version Any help would be appreciated Thanks John

I used a copy of this MSTD_EU_SK_P6230 MU0490 if anyone else needs, the site I think I had it from was mibsolution.one is currently down though. I was wary of the copy I had and passage of time, but it worked fine installed, I just have to clear the fault code ( have odbeleven but pro ran out and doesn't cover the adaption by looks of it) Excuse the state of my interior I don't use the car that much and could use a vaccuum.
