Vandals!

Featured Replies

Went through there some years ago, in an old mondeo. They managed to pull up the metal roof strips, that are inset in runners, with just their fingers. Also pulled out the rear screen wash nozzle.

Not as bad as the brand new Volvo they were attacking in front of us :giggle:

Got some great pics through the windows

Years ago me and a few mates went to Longleat and going though the lion enclosure, my mate in front in his XR3, me behind in my Capri and one of the lions obviously didn't much care for his bright red Escort and bit a large chunk out of the corner of his rear spoiler. Oh how we all laughed, except my mate!

Won't ever catch me taking my car in there then. Might be possible however to have them work at a breakers yard? Depends if you could get the parts back...

It's a bit like driving through parts of Liverpool lol!

This reminds me of a day trip to Longleat many many years ago in my mate's Commer Imp van. We and our respective girlfriends were going through the lion enclosure admiring the massive beasts milling around us when a long forgotten fault with the rear lift up door occured. We heard this sort of creaking noise from behind us and were horrified to see the rear door slowly opening on the gas struts. Luckily, the girls were sitting in the back so there was no immediate danger to us lads but after a few seconds of blind panic we decided it might be a good idea to head for the exit. So in a cloud of smoke and spinning wheels this is what we did, overtaking startled fellow visitors with the rear door of our van wide open with our picnic bags amazingly staying put on the rear ledge. We often recount the event when we meet!

I only live a mile from Longleat but I've never once gone through the safari in any of my cars. This is why! :D
