Dash Colour Change Idea

Featured Replies

I found on the seat cupra forum some manual for replacement of LEDs on the seat cluster. Seat and Skoda clusters are very similar (both are VW).

I think it can help.

I do not know if this forum is allowed to hook links from other forums. If it is not allowed, let moderators delete a link... ;)

If anyone wants your dash changed like mine just PM Dark_Hero, he offers a drive-in, drive-out service.

He's done mine and he's doing Ross' now

He has spare everything (except clocks) so can do it in an evening

Much sooner pay someone who knows what they're doing than risk ******* up your clocks!

than risk ******* up your clocks!

like me aha

That's a very good idea, if you are not adept with a soldering iron and PCBs it pays to get someone else to do it and from Dark_Hero post it looks like he does a good job.

If your up for it, I wouldn't mind you doing mine. ;)

You are right Luke I did say no, but that was almost a year ago now and at the time I was not confident enough to consider doing it for anyone else. Since then the dash has been apart more than 20 times with me fiddling with different colour LEDs, tints needles etc and I (so far) have never had a problem with it. So I now have enough confidence in myself to pull someones else car apart and put it back together without causing problems (plus now have purchased temp controlled soldering iron which is a cracking bit of kit)
