Today after 18 months of searching I bought my first classic Skoda Rapid 130 1986(fitted with the later 136 engine) which has been dry stored for the last 14 years with 36000 miles on the clock. Worth waiting for and what a find!

My intention is to fully rebuild it into a post historic class rally car. Does anyone know of a supplier/where abouts of an MSA specification roll cage. The usual manufacturers, custom cages/safety devices/OMP no longer manufacture a cage to fit this car? Any help would be most appreciated on this and anything else related to rally prep on this model. Thanks, Tim.

You will need to get a cage custom made...no one makes an off the shelf one anymore. I went through all of this a couple of years back with my Estelle.

"Custom Cages" have a very good reputation in the rallying world, but you may find there is a local specialist near you. I would also suggest you get on to the Historic Rallying forums and see if they can help.

Be warned, though, it isn't going to be cheap.
