A bit max power - but WOW !!!

Featured Replies

I missed the top gear episode when they tested the FQ400. I got the gist that it wasn't really a better car than the 340, but looking at what it has to offer, i think it is one of those cars i would love to have but would never put my hand in my pocket to buy !

I like !

I'd be happy enough with one of the lesser models in the range, the price seems to jump up rather dramatically between the FQ300 and the 400, think I would settle for the FQ300 at 27,999, that'd do nicely...

Ah..the FQ400...stick in 5th at 30mph and watch a Fiat Stilo estate go wafting by..... .......would evetually catch up but at the end of the Brunters 2 mile straight. :D

Who the hell uses 5th gear at 30 mph!

My brother in law works for mitsubishi and regularly get the 300s and 400s to play with.

muchos fun! :D

Actually i do :) 6 speed smart roadster sips petrol in 5th at 30 :) and it has massive turbo lag too (from a thimble size turbo)

Sorry but that is an ugly car.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

Saw one of those Smart Roadsters when I was running in the Furby - it's a little different but it seemed to be fairly quick. I'm guessing they're fairly light as it cornered well. Neither of us was particularly racing at the time but it was no slouch either

There was a long term test of a smart Roadster in one mag. They loved everything about it except it's pace and were very disappointed when they were seen off at some traffic lights "by some old dear in a skoda fabia"(their words!) who apparantly didn't even notice the struggle to keep up!

I thought these roadsters were more of a fun thing than a pace thing.

Anyway, off topic! FQ400 great but too expensive and yes if I put my foot down in fifth even our milkman would outpace me.Thoroughly silly example by Mr Clarkson I thought ;)

Owen developments!, they are just round the corner from me and have been suggested by my local audio boys and i thought they were a small outfit :o

Nice car, but a not-so-nice price! I reckon the 260 is pretty good value for money, although not quick enough considering the Scooby you could buy for the same price.
