Storm Blue Metallic makes comeback on Yeti in 2012?

Featured Replies

I had a look at http://www.skoda-auto.com and found an intersting note at page 32 (bottom right) here:

*Available during 1st half of 2012 (Storm Blue Metallic).

Probably valid for all of "Western" Europe?

In Eastern Europe you can have all those magnificent colours, like Orange Cayenne... *sigh*

Now; is there anybody who has seen BOTH Storm Blue Metallic and Petrol Blue Metallic in real life (in sun and shade)?

Which one is darker?

Sorry haven't seen together but I'd be surprised if storm blue wasn't quite a bit darker in both sun and shade. I've got storm blue, but I probably wouldn't choose it again. It shows up dirt more than other colours I've had and unless it's sunny you might not realise it's metallic given how dark it is - when my father-in-law parks his pacific blue (non-metallic) octavia beside my yeti you could easily not notice the difference.

Maybe the Storm Blue pigment (just like Rosso Brunello) comes from Japan? That is why some colours have been difficult or impossible to get hold of recently. The factory making them had earthquake/tsunami issues.
