i have got to change the osf wheel bearing once i have taken the hub off the car do i from the rear of the hub remove the circlip then push the bearing out from the outer race or leave the circlip in and push the bearing out from the inner race ? info needed please

I don't have my haynes to hand......but from memory the whole bearing/hub flange unit you push out from the back (don't have to touch the circlip).......BUT when you press the new one in DO NOT press in using the hub flange....you need to press in using the front face of the bearing behind the flange...so you need to pass a two parallel metal bars behind the flange and press down on those....all explained in the Haynes manual! B)

There isnt a circlip

When I changed mine it was a pig to do, next time I will take the whole hub to a garage with a press and get them to do it, they won't charge much and it will save alot of time and effort, unless of course you have a press etc.
