Does anyone remember the name of the people who used to own Sedgeberrow Motors, near Evesham?

They were a Skoda dealer in the late 70's early 80's and the son, John(?) was a mechanic in the works rally team. He also built some very fast rallying 130's himself.

I have this morning spoken to Mrs Holder who's husband Dennis ran Sedgeberrow Motors

They were Skoda dealers and in 1987 sponsored Entry No. 98 a Skoda 130L of William Stevenson/Ray Holland in the RAC Rally and in 1989 their son John was in Entry No 192 again in the RAC Rally in a Skoda 130L of Neil Burton/ John Holder. Neither car showed in the finishers list.

The Garage closed when the by-pass was built.

Thank you.

I woke up this morning and realised I had got the wrong name, Steve is from Faintree Garage!

I knew I had the name John in the back of my mind, and that was their son.

Thank you.

I don't think Steve came in until the Favorit was around, but he did not live too far away either!

It was a long shift last night!

I worked with both John Holder and Steve Wedgbury on a few RAC Rallies with the works Skoda Rally Team. I was living in Worcester at the time and was friends with Skoda's Area Manager for the North West, so ended up working for the Team.

John Holder serviced my old Rapid (D876 FYE) a couple of times.
