Can anyone please tell me what size brakes the mk1 octavia 1.9 tdi are?

Pre and post facelift cars are different, and at least post-facelift you get different size brakes for each engine tune. And that presumes you don't have a 130 that someone's treated to a set of 312s.

Have a look at the caliper. If it says FS-III on it, it will be 256 or 280mm. If it doesn't say anything, it will be 288mm, unless someone has chucked 312's on it instead.

Rear's will be 232mm, unless it has vented discs from a vrs, then it will be 256.

Some pre-facelift 90s had rear drums.
