Tele marketing

Featured Replies

Recently I got some quotes on line via several search engines .In the past you have come nowhere close ,so I didn't ask .

But my question is more about ethics ,and what to do .

Recently I got quotes with several search engines .One broker came out tops ,and one policy on one site gave me -Comp / breakdown /legal /personal cover at less than that on the lowest quote with the additions .Looked graat ,so I did it.Phone number wanted for "Admin purposes" .OK-gave them my mobile ,and e mail .Since then ,I've had numerous calls from an 0845 number ,which turns out to be the Telemarketing branch of this broker .On the search engine I ticked all boxes asking not to be called/contacted .

Is there some code of practice in the industry banning this .

On the other hand , I did give them this number for ADMIN PROBLEMS ,but not for telemarketing .So perhaps I need to contact TPS ( PHONE REGISTERED) or Watcdog .

Advice please-this sort of practice drags down the professionals -so lets get rid of them .

I keep getting Adrian flux ringing my house which is damned annoying since I am insured with them and when I return calls they say they dnt know as it was nothing to do with my policy.
