How about going into the dealer with , No part ex, discuss finance, and ask what the redemption is on early payment, make the first couple of payments, then pay off with the cash you were going to use. If the redeption is silly money, you can still do a bankers draft using the cash.

If he gets suspicious when you ask about redemption, you can always say your expecting to come into some money from a recently deceased relative.

do you genrally get a lower price on fiance then?

ive phoned on ein mansfield, and he said, i will beat any offer by a dealer.

okay, so i phones overs, Albars ? in leicester said they WILL beat the offer of

The dealer may get a cut of the finance deal's profits, I dunno.

I was told they didn't like credit cards much as they cut into their profits, and although they absorbed my downpayment (1k) charges (which would probably be 2.5%, so 25 quid) they would pass on the cost of that if I paid for the rest on my credit card.

Must admit I can imagine that based on it shaving of 250 quid on 10k, which on top of the price I managed to get out of them would probably leave them with a pretty low, if not negative, margin :)

That said - I've paid for a full tank of fuel according to the contract, so I expect 100% full ;)

how much did you pay?

Well for one of my cars I spoke about finance so could get the best price off them, got them to sign the price then turned around and paid with my switch card, they were not happy bunnies! Still it saved me alot of money in the long run..
