I've recently fitted after market headlights but I'm now suffering from sky high high beams. Can this be adjusted myself or am I best taking it to a garage to have the do it within MOT limits?

I took mine to skoda after i fitted some depo headlight units and HIDs, cost me £15, so cant complain.

Following complaining bitterly to my garage about the very low headlights - and them demonstrating that they were correct which they blatantly weren't - I did mine myself. They're fine and passed the next MOT - at a different garage - without any problem.

Check the bulbs are seated properly - one of mine wasn't

Well I've just put new units in so I doubt I've lined them up correctly. Just booked it in with Claybank for £18 to get adjusted.

My independent garage used to raise my headlights every MOT on my old Renault 9.

First time I would use the dipped beam, they were blasting into the driver-in-front rear view mirror, and I quickly lower them until the next year's MOT, when they were raised again.

I too told the MOT fella, who showed me on his headlight gizmo it was correct after he raised the headlights.??
