Just bought some second hand (brand new) Eibachs for my -08 RS TDi Combi, but I think they are made for the non RS Octavia's. At the time I bought them I was not aware that there was a difference.

The number on those that I bought is E10-79-004-03-22.

Are they of no use to me then?

I think will depend on the strut diameter, vRS is 55mm iirc.

I have a set black hatch and red estate ones in my garage. I will check to see if they are listed like yours.

The ones I have for my TSI hatch are E10-79-004-02-02

They are recomended for 1.6,1.4 and 1.6tdi(E10-79-004-03-22)

Sorry, I read it completely wrong anyway and thought they fitted the VRS Combi but he didn't have one haha.

I think the 1.9,2.0 engines are recomended E10-79-004-04-22

They are stiffer springs for heavier engines, on the VRS it will lower 20mm not 30mm like on non-vrs models.

Well, here is what I have found after doing som searching:

E10-79-004-01-22 Non-vRS hatchback

Achslast max.: VA 1100 Kg / HA 1100 Kg

E10-79-004-02-22 vRS hatchback

Achslast max.: VA 1100 Kg / HA 1100 Kg

E10-79-004-03-22 Non-vRS Kombi (The springs I have)

Achslast max.: VA 1100 Kg / HA 1150 Kg

E10-79-004-04-22 vRS Kombi

Achslast max.: VA 1100 Kg / HA 1150 Kg

If they are physically different is yet to be determined.
