Convenience indicators

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Just out of interest. Have any of you got the convienience indicators or comfor flash? The one where you touch the indicator once and it flashes 3 times.

Was it an optional extra or did they never fit it to the vrs?

Got 'em on both my Fabias.

Can be vagcommed on (or off) though I believe.

My mate has them on his 04 VRS but i dont have them on mine... they have have been specced as an option however as his has ESP, Sunroof and Xenons as well as a height adjustable passenger seat which mine doesnt.

It can be if your CCM allows it, mine unfortunately doesnt :(

As already said, it was phased in as a standard feature on cars built around 2004.

If you don't have it already then your car most likely can't do it, sorry.

I got vagcom. What channel would it be in.

What's the CCM?

Central convenience module iirc

Standard 04 onwards!

There alright but can be a pest at times

What channel would it be in.

IIRC it's in 09 Central Electrics, Thougn it could be in 46 Convenience!

It's been a while since I looked for it!

Mine has it. 54 plate.

I would dearly love to have them but alas my 53 Elegance doesn't :( will there be a chance or is it not worth me trying?

My 53 plate Fabia can't be enabled for them :(

Mines 53 plate to. Having doubts now. 😭

Sorry but what is esp?

The comfort indicators appeared around 05MY and it's a different central electrics ecu program.

Im guessing on my 04 plate it was specced??

It did have a few extra's, such as cruise and heated seats?

I have it on my 54, love it.

Heated seats were standard on Elegance before 03, and Cruise became standard from 04 plates, so it's probably on the same electric setup and therefore probably, from what people are saying, not going to be able to be enabled :(

Quite annoying, cause it's a nightmare indicating the right amount on motorways

sorry i should have been more specific i had an 04 plate vrs with comfort indicators

now if it was a MY2005 upgrade then im guessing my car must have had it specced as an extra from new, along with other extra's such as cruise control and heated seats

It wasnt specced as part of anything, just a change in control unit at some point around 2005MY.

Mines was a 2004MY on an 04 plate

Must have been a 'special' one

Prob just one of the first with it on

Or the unit had been changed at some point.

I think it was gradually phased in like the other non "facelift" updates from 04 manufactured cars onward, but then all listed as standard fit for 2005.. mines an 04 (built, according to all the little stickers, around April 04) but has comfort-caters and a 3 point centre belt.. but the rest is all the pre 2005 stuff.

I did wonder if this meant I could get the tear wipe enabled?? If I've got the comfort-caters, would that be part of the same convenience unit?
