Help management light has come on ! Uneven tick over ?

Featured Replies

Ok had her 3 days and today the management light has came on , now am again it's tick over is a bit up and down but not always , she still pulls well most of the time but now and again it pulls back like she's refusing , any help would be greatfully received guys :(

Is the traction control light on? That would point to a failing MAF sensor. It could be anything though, you need to get it scanned with vagcom to check what the light is on for.

If it is the ignition coils, you can get them replaced for free from the dealer if they're old ones. Certain part numbers qualify for a recall. They might scan the car for you too if you ask nicely.

No other lights on bud just the management one

Diagnostics needed as it could be any number of things. ECU will have a code stored. Sounds like it's going into limp mode. Recycling the ignition should pull it out limp.

the rough idle and hesitation could be the TB needs a good clean.

the light will need VCDS to clear the codes and see what they were. might even be a boost leak somewhere.

Check the coil packs are sitting fully down, the spark plugs unwind themselves and the pressure from the head pushes the coil pack up off the plug and it causes rough idle and hesitation.

Agree with everyone else though you need to vag com her for codes although the above possible fix won't throw a code

Good luck
