OK people!

What are the long nickel coloured bolts on the bottom of each of the doors, that go into black plasic circular slots in the door shuts?

I just can't work out what they do!

Also, can the washer jet on the hatch be adjusted? Right now it's a waste of time as the jet just goes straight in the middle of the wiper. It looks like it can but I just want to know before I shove a pin the ball and snap it!

I'm pretty sure that "door open" switches are at the bottom of the circular holes, and the long bolts are actuators. There's no sign of any "pin" switches in the door jambs, like other cars use.

Never tried adjusting the washer jets, so can't comment - anyone else know?

They look more like locking devices to prevent the doors bursting open in a side impact.

You're probably right - just tried poking one with a pointy stick but it didn't turn the lights off.

But did the airbag deploy?

I don't think you can adjust the washer jets on the front as they are supposed to cover the whole screen with a mist.

10/10 severedrs there for side impacts and screewash jets are not adjustable.
