coil packs changed, flat spot still there

Featured Replies

I have a small flat spot in my OCTY II 2.0TFSI VRS. I only notice it when accelerating hard for an overtake etc. I've noticed in in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th gear when well up the rev range.

I suspected the coil packs but having had these done today the problem still remains.

I use tesco momentum petrol which was great on my 2.0T audi A4 and my last 2.0t VRS so I'm guessing the fule isn't the issue.

The skoda tech took my car for a test drive after fitting the coil packs and said the car went like stink and asked who had remapped it...I have no idea to be honest, although I did suspect it had been remapped the minute I test drove it when buying it.

My Audi A4 2.0T (220bhp) was remapped by Angel tuning and this had a similar flat spot after the remap was carried out. I'm guessing it's maybe just the remap causing the hesitation?

Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Get it to a good rolling road tuners and they should be able to pinpoint the problem.

I did think about that, I just hate the thought of someone pushing my car so hard. Prob just need to bite the bullet and do it I suppose

Thanks ruffday :)

It does sound quite scary at first but its no more than you do while driving.

And a good reputable one will know what they are doing.

I once took one of my bike as Id just fitted new cams, jets and a full race system.

That made your hairs stand on end when it hit 11,000 revs I can tell you.
