Coolant change

Featured Replies

Guys, Im looking to change the coolant tomo- got two bottles of G12++ at the ready. I understand the radiator has a tap on the bottom left to empty the header tank, but does the engine block also have a tap? Any pointers greatly appreciated. Neil.

Not that I know of bar removing the thermostat?

When I did mine on my Octy I did it at the same time as removing and replacing the thermostat as the radiator tap was jammed closed. If you can be bothered to get the pipe off covering the thermostat and take the thermostat out then you can flush the block and radiator seperately but that thermostat pipe is a bit of a pig to get off without having just the right tools.

May be a good time to replace the thermostat while there praps.
