It's stared to misbehave!

Featured Replies

Well nearly had the vrs for 2 years now, only had 1 problem that failed an mot, but recently a few things have started to go wrong, first was the drivers door sensor stopped working, so the amount of times I've left my lights on, and locked myself in the car, second to go wrong was the coolent temperature light keeps coming on in the morning, third to go is the passenger door will unlock when it feels like it, ( which isn't that often) fourth problem, when selecting to adjust the right mirror it adjusts the left at the same time!

I'm off into the navy in feb and am thinking perhaps it's time to change to somthing else, will be a saloon or a smaller estate, s60rs are looking good, the other parts that are persuading me to sell are it's only done 70000k it's in good condition (once fixed) it's got the popular mods on it, plus Ive got those bbs alloys which will sell for a nice amount by themselves. On the other side when I go into the navy I could use it just for me to go to Pompey and back to Cornwall. Descisions!

The mirrors are set that way,

New door open sensor ?

Coolant light will be the sensor in the bottle new bottle on ebay or local dealer.

Not sure on the random door opening lol

Are you sure about the mirrors it never used to do it?

My mirrors are adjustable by side, they don't both adjust at same time!

There are three positions with the mirror switch L, heat, R........can't rembember which one but either L or R does both.....But that is with the newer (6yr) old switch the OEM one(2001) didn't !! It is meant to be like that! B)

Selecting right mirror adjust both, selecting left just does left on my 04 Furby, always has. Can be useful at times but annoying at others.

My drivers door switch failed (always left my lights on lol) Unit 18 = job done

My VRs is 55' L does left mirror R does right, neither does both

Yup, Left does left, right does both. I think it *might* be changeable in vagcom, I know heated timing can. All the faults are cheap to fix tbh no biggy's

Yeh my electric mirrors do a similar thing, but it doesn't bother me to much because I just move them with my hand :) about the wheel what are they because I maybe interested :) cheers jay
