Well ,my 3 year old boy has been watching me repair a couple of radiators in the ouse with a "rad key" not a car key as he thought ! well it was to late by the time i caught him and he had twisted the key inside the vent screw of the rad leaving the key unable to go in any of the locks...

If you have the key codes from the original keys they will be able to program the key to the car & not the car to the new key IYSWIM. The dealer the car originally came from should have kept a copy of the codes. The dealer I got my car from certainly did when I picked it up on March 1st.

If your car is older & you don't have the original details, then you are stuck paying for the car reprogramming unfortunately. I got a quote from Peugeot to get new remote keys before I sold my 206 & it was

Is the key the flip type of key?

If it is, then just the blade bit can be removed (If you look carefully there is a roll pin which holds the blade part).

I have had new blades cut in the past by a company in Nottingham.

Yeah its the flip type, now you mention it when i got the car there was a plastic thing with a code in it which i have just turned the house upside down and found in that safe place i forgot about !! the car is only four months old and the original dealer i bought it from is now an audi dealership !!!!
