I have used this on handles of pilers etc, doubt the finish would be good enough for your grill tbh

It's also quite thick, much thicker than paint... And as you say it's a dull finish

Used it on my car and yes it's a dull finish but it's what I wanted. Have a look in members cars forum and my project thread is in there with some pics on page 1 I think.

It's good stuff and has remained chip free for around 16000 miles now.
