Headlight Adjuster

Featured Replies

On the vRS I have a headlight adjuster switch from within the car but it's never worked. People are saying to remove the old adjuster motor from the OEM headlights and fit them to the Depo's but I've just looked and I don't see any motor? The adjustment seems to be done by 2 screws at the top, one for the main beam and one for the high beam?

Did any vRS' come without headlight adjustment from within the car? How can I retro-fit this? Does anyone know of a part number or even what it looks like and where/how it fits? Will the loom already be there?

AFAIK all cars came with adjustment from within the car, it's provided for minor up/down adjustment depending on the load you're carrying (heavy load in boot = nose up = headlights in oncoming drivers' eyes). The manual screws are for more serious up/down alignment, and left/right alignment (which can't be done from inside the car). These are also present on OEM headlights as well as the motors.

Luke it should be a wiring plugging to the motor so 3 bulb connections then a forth going to the motor. Might have been disconnected by a previous owner??

if the motors didnt come in your depo, amd you didnt put them in then thats why the switch wont work as it wont have the opposing part to work with, are they still inside your old headlights which are for sale in the for sale section?

That's what I mean man, on the OEM headlights I can't see any motors, I didn't put any on my Depo's either. My Xenon's haven't even arrived yet.

Can someone circle where the motor would be? I'm 95% sure it's not there but just in case it's hiding...

You still don't have the Xenon units?... Didn't you order them early last week?

i have a spare mototr down stirs 2 mins al go take a photo
