Left Foot Space on Superb Automatics

Featured Replies

Simple question :

Can you stretch out your left leg if you have no clutch.

OR

Have Skoda been silly and positioned the brake pedal / built it so big , such that, you can't.

Photos would be good too. I'm speaking of latest build by the way.

Here's hoping .............

Can't really say as I have a manual (sorry!) but there is a already a clutch foot rest with the manual. I suspect that the brake pedal is enlarged and that there would be some additional space to stretch out that left foot, the foot rest may be taken out completely?

Who's got an auto? Interesting to know.

In a RHD car there is plenty of room to stretch out, even a little platform to rest your foot on. Depending on your driving position you may find your left leg rests against the centre console but it is soft plastic so is ok. Would have been nice if Skoda had put the driver’s seat a couple of cm to the right though.

I have a DSG and there is a footrest for your left foot, I have had no problems at all and I am 6'2'' with size 12 shoes.

Ok that's good there's a footrest, but is that right at the back ? I've tried a manual Superb and there was a footrest to the left side in front of the pedals ( obviously not possible behind them as the clutch would be in the way ) but on the automatic is it right at the back i.e. behind the pedals level. Better still, I wonder if there are two footrests - one right at the back as I'm asking about and one in the same place as on the manual, so you can get your left foor on a plate in both knee bent and knee straight positions.

I'm 6'5" with big feet and I can pretty much stretch my leg straight out. Plenty of room. I don't use the foot rest that much as there's so much space for my foot to be in.

There's a nice gap, wider than my feet, to the left of the brake pedal in my UK spec Superb Estate DSG, about where a clutch pedal would go - plenty of room to stretch your leg out.
