new shap fabia sos

Featured Replies

hello guys and girls,

im looking at down sizing to a fabia 1.2 2007 or newer and wondered if it that was a 3 cyl engine??? and any good for short around town driving. i do less than 6k a year.

thanks.

ps have a oct vrs 170pd currently with 30k only done!!!

The 3 cylinder unit comes with the 1.2 70bhp non Turbo Fabia. It's a very characterful engine, free revving, good on economy, but will drink more once at motorway speeds.

most engines in the fabia will feel slow if you're use to a 170bhp turbo diesel

I'm used to driving a 185bhp diesel but if I want to run into town or nip over to my mums or run the kids about then I'll grap the keys to our 1.2 12V 70 HTP.

It's not quick for overtaking or traffic light grand prix but it's great to drive, responsive, light, sounds like a mini boxer engine, revs sweetly and cheap to run.

It will keep up with fast A road and motorway traffic but 70+ will see the mpg drop quickly.

It's probably the most problem free Fabia too

Cheers

Lee

Yep, it'll be a 3 cyl engine and it will be great for town driving :)

My father had one of these when his old octavia was in the dealership for servicing etc.

Very economical, if you rev the a** off it then it sounds really funny! Great for short journeys.

30k in a diesel 07 vrs is very low milage!!!
