What after market kits have you fitted? Do they wire in to the existing speakers or do they have their own?

I really want some, I think they look cool and I'm **** at parking.

Get practising parking your car is the answer, not cool gizmo's. LOLemoticon-0140-rofl.gif

I've got some on my elegance- factory fitted, to be honest I don't even listen to them! Parking a fabia is easy, there's no real need for them.

I'd rather rely on my mirrors and visuals :)

I got some genuine ones, im sure you can still get them from skoda. They wire into the reverse light with theyre own speaker. (dont wire to a speaker)

The OEM ones have their own buzzer / speaker which is meant to mount on the trim that runs along the back of the head lining. Some versions (model year alterations I think) have a led that flashes with the bleeps.

I had a set of the OEM ones for a while to put on mine, I'd had after market chepo ones from eBay on my previous fabia and liked them but they weren't perfect, so went OEM for the vRS.

But after 12 months of not fitting them I just sold them on.. And then backed into a textured wall at very low speed.. just quick enough for the texture to make a mess of the paint... Got it fixed and then someone rear ended me......I'm not bitter,. (true story)... My poor cars not had much luck with it's rear bumpers because the body shop replacement came apart at the spoiler join within a week.

The after market ones looked ok, quite subtle... and worked ok but were a little over sensitive.. freaking out at 20/30cm.. rather than 5 or so. No adjustment was available (The OEM ones can actually be configured several different ways)... I put the buzzer and the brain behind the passenger side boot trim , loads of room and a neat little set of holes cut on the carpet for the sound to get through.. the buzzer was mental loud as well.. once it was behind that carpet grille, and in the closed boot, it was about right.. lol.

Also, the after market ones were powered from the reverse light much like the oem ones.. but for some reason, when you popped reverse back into neutral, rather than just turn off the poor lil buzzer would quietly squeal from it normal pitch all the way down like a toy with a dying battery... It actually ended up just giving the car more character.. but I don't think your looking for that in your pristine motor, are ya ;) lol.... Mine was just a bright green 1.4 so it kinda worked,.

I was about to post the same thing, I'm after a set, but would really need it to go quite close before going mental with the beeping

These are the exact ones ive had for about a year now.

They, imo are the best aftermarket ones available as they have a slight dish on one side so you can set them up level when on a curved bumper. They pick up distances well and they beep the most when about 15 cms from an object.

Oh, i also fitted the buzzer speaker behind the b pillat trim at head height!

See pic on page 1 of my project thread for them fitted

This is what my SE has. They are also colour coded and look pretty good.

In the roof trim near the back window there is a speaker with an LED on it.

I have a set of these waiting to be fitted, they were from ebay and recommended by a fellow Briskodian, colour coded to your choice. The colour match for my SE looks very good.

All the info required for DIY fitment is available on here, some useful threads are here and here

The only thing I don't know yet is where the grommet is to feed the cable into the boot. Does anyone have any photos?

Cobra park master are the simplest and best I've fitted. Used by loads of manufactures as aftermarket kits, inc Skoda and seat.

What's the OEM parking sensor kit part number with the flashing LED? How much is it?

Do they come colour coded or do they need painting or what?

I have the same as Mattievrs. No light display which I like as dark cabin helps see in mirrors at night. More of a backup feature just in case something has moved behind car below window/mirrors such as a child. Easy to fit and with no front display everything fits into area behind wheel arch.
