I'm so glad that I make you laugh, it really cheers me up to no that. By the way I wish I was still in my youth, I'm 34 with two children but thank you for your kind assumption

You are a youth compared to me. emoticon-0106-crying.gif........and all my kids have run away.

Been searching for the thread where wavetracks faults where talked about, just can't find it. It was quite technical, by someone who clearly knew his stuff.

His basic theme was it wouldn't actually work as well as a 'standard' worm-geared Active Transfere Bearing.

I did bump into a wavetrack owner today (fitted to tracked mk1 Golf). He raved about it. He'd used plate diffs before, and recons they are a bit too snatchy for road/wet use. He also said the pre-loading on plate diffs can make the steering quite heavy.

His description of how the wavetrack felt basically matched my experrience of a Peloquin ATB

i heard over the weekend from a man in the know that Quaife are having trouble and are not what they once were so with that in mind now I think I would actually pass on them now, even tho the one I have seems pritty good.

The guy rebuilds cars and designs them, he has F1 experience too albe it years ago.
