how low does your range get before your fuel light comes on in your vrs ?

i`ve had the light on last week it send 7miles to go i now it was low but it was a good job i was going to get fuel at the time

45 left miles I think

I was determined to get to WSM on one tank, and the range went to zero while I was still on the M5 (with about 8 miles to go...) so I reselutley ignored it, and went to the caravan park

still made it out for fuel the next day :yes:

40 miles to go and mine came on

Mine comes on at 40 usually

It depends on your recent economy as to what the range is when the light comes on.

I.e. I think the light is fired at 7 litres ish left in the tank, but depending on your recent economy will dictate how far that 7 litres will take you, according to the trip computer.

I thought you were meant to run the tank down every so often so your not left with old fuel in the tank etc? =/

The fresh stuff will mix and don't think fuel spoils as quick as this, sons Audi sitting in drive he's been away in Canada since February still starts up lovely and he's not home till may 2012, how's the car Adam ?

If you are doing 50mph and showing 50miles range, it means you have 1 hours driving left. Easy.

So if the petrol station is 139miles away, you should just about be able to get there in an hour in a VRS hatch, and you’ll have a mile left if its an estate. You’ll have to get your foot down quick though!

The Sarge down at the local cop-shop told me there’s a bye-law that covers you for this. He even gave me a chitty and signed it PC M. Mouse, he’s probably called Michael or something. Its an unusual surname though...hmmm.

mine came on at 45 I thought mine normally came on at 50 but your saying it varies I was a bit worried it was faulty when i collected the car from vw the range showed 15miles but the fuel light was not on it seemed a bit strange as it took 49litres to fill it backup

Normally 45-50 miles on range - got 55 miles left on current tank so we shall see

Been doing mostly town work this tankful and my economy will be shocking!
