Fabia vRs suspension improvement

Featured Replies

Hi

Looking to improve my suspension setup from the standard set up and looking for some help.

Looking for a better ride/handling set up, avoiding anything extreme

Not excessive drop 25mm or so

Will just lowering springs work with standard shocks or will they wear faster ... if so which springs are best.

If going for shocks and springs which would be the best set up for ride/handling.

Have read that the rear is much higher than the front end, with shocks and springs, how do you get round this ?

A lot of conflicting info about coilovers, regarding setting up the car against shocks and springs set up.. any thoughts.

Any help appreciated from members or traders, ideally from first hand experience.

If anyone is selling a reccommended set up, please drop me a line too

Thanks in advance

is it a mark I?

lowering springs will fubar the standard shocks quite quickly... much better to go for a sping/damper set up...after that you'll need someone with more experiance than me to give advice on what setups are best.. all I can say is go for springs AND dampers.

one of the best handling improvements can be seen by adding the rear anti roll bar, this helps to make the handling more neutral , away from the standard horrendous understeer

someone will give you more details soon no doubt :)

I don't have a vrs...so have standard ride height but just look in my sig below for setup......very good....get hold of Koin in the uk and have a work with them.....If you want to fit shorter springs than the vrs OEM one then defo new dampers to match!..and don't forget the bushes....see my post re this..linky..
