Im looking at getting a set of 16" alloys for winter to drop some winter tyres on. After hunting around, it appears winter tyres in 205/40/17 are hard to come by, and i cant bring myself to put steelies on my car.

Any ideas which will clear the standard calipers as they are stupidly wide and only just clear my steel spare with a fag paper to spare.

any 5x100 VAG wheels should fit over. 15's is the minimum size for the vrs due to its larger brakes.

I personally have 15 steelies which I've painted white and I quite like the look...
