R-tech remapping

Featured Replies

Hello all

I'm thinking of having my vRS remapped I was thinking of using AMD in Essex as they are local and they said their map is very smooth which is what I'm after but I've since read on here some remaps can cause the car to start surging and r-tech say is does not happen on their map. They are also cheaper and claim the same power figures, are these maps smooth as I don't want a sudden surge of power at a certain rev

R-tech have a very good name in the golf world, i am going to use them to map mine in the new year. i believe shark have also cured this problem with their map as well

nick at r-tech is the best around imo  i travel from reading to his with all my cars and wont change its not just his maps being the best he also has the best customer care and support and wont try to tell you rubbish

this is why he has an amazing reputation

I travel from Oxford up there, the map on mine is awesome, he also increased the red line for me and it pulls strong and hard all the way to it B)

Mike what power did yours make? I have pretty much an identical spec to you :)

210 mate. Nicks dyno is pretty realistic. Jabba might quote 225bhp from a stage 1 but it ain't 225 on other rollers.

210 but is when and how long you have the power for mikes car will pull harder for longer than alot of the stage 2 cars on here !!

Cool i am not one for chasing numbers, the proof is in the arse dyno  got to get the G60/VR6 clutch fitted in the new year then going to go for the map :)

After market wise all I have is a forge recirc. Do I need other mods before remap to get 210? (going to uprate all boost hoses first)

standard hoses are just fine mate !!! save your money

spend the money on a good downpipe ( decat if you can)

thats all you will need to go stage 1
