Driving up slip road, heard a pop,loads of black smoke and then no power, car felt flat, can unly assume turbo?

boost pipe come off?

Sounds more like a boost hose for the intercooler thats popped off!

Well, didnt want to void any warranty,so ive left it to the garage,hope its nothing to serious,but then again, i hope it is the turbo so they can change it under warranty!

Personally id rather just a boost hose

When turbos go they can go anywhere.... If it goes engine way its bad news

But your symptoms sound more like popped boost hose

Just to say, thanks for all the replies, you were spot on, it was the boost pipe that had come off. Is there anything more i can do than the garage has already done, to make sure this doesnt happen again?
