1.9 AWX dead...

Featured Replies

So i've had my Superb 1.9 TDI AWX at the workshop for a few days, completely changing suspension, CV boot & much more, doing the preventive stuff as rotodiesel posted here. Everything was fix and today i took it for a ride. Unfortunately the turbo is pretty much dead for some reason. No boost whatsoever. Removed the air intake hose and tried spinning it with a screw driver. It didn't sound right, deffo didn't sound right. So tomorrow a search for a new turbo begins. Well, 218750 miles gone and the engine has been chipped all it's life. I guess it had to happen. Just in a very weird way in my opinion. Car goes to workshop with everything working. Car comes out and suddenly turbo is R.I.P. Oh well.. just had to share. :)

Oh and no faults on the VCD scan btw.

Update: turbo was not dead. Vacuum pump? Well that thing which makes the vacuum was dead and replaced. Everything works lovely again. Yipee...
