Waynes Octavia mk1 vRS

So whilst looking for a car found this it was under budget and to me a bargain with the amount of work it is had done in the last 3 months, never had a Skoda.

2001 (51) 1.8 20v t (AQU 180bhp), 115k with fsh including all old mot's and nearly all old bills, has had the all important cam belt and water pump plus a stack of other work for the last mot,

Only real issue and why it was cheaper is the front bumper has been badly repainted some time in its life.

And the only real bad bit and why it was a cheaper than it should have been.

First mods

Front mudflaps fitted, they to me finish it off.

Replaced the V badge with new as it was stuck in the wrong place.

I also on both sides straightened the sills where it has been wrongly jacked in the past and then undersealed.

Next up sorting the front bumper, purchased a new front bumper and had a top notch sprayjob by a local bodyshop that do a lot of work for BMW, Audi and Mercedes etc.

Started with this:

A few close up pics to show how bad the old bumper was.

During the change over, painted / tidied up with some spare satin black all the parts that had overspray.

Finished including the black grille surround with new badge, also fitted my new number plate surrounds and plates plus silvertec indicator bulbs.

Last picture before changing the wheels.

Next up, first thing was to remove the rear wiper, don't really use it and it looks cleaner without it, will keep hold of it so can be refitted if needed.

Then onto new wheels, I had settled for BBS LM's reps but having tried one against the car was not sure, so tried a few others and settled on these.

LOL

Looking good mate, I loved them rims, really go well on the Octavia.

Nice weight and lovely feel to them on the road.

Big

billy

Thanks, they have to be the best set of alloys I have ever had, so much better than the reps.

New drivers seat base fitted today, I read a few guides beforehand and it was easy enough to sort really, hardest part is refitting the cover as it needs to be pulled / stretched really tight.

As you can see it needed replacing.
