New(ish) Fabia VRS MK1 owner

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Had my '03 Fabia VRS around 4 months now and this forum has been a great help already so thought it was about time to get an introduction post up :)

Absolutely loving the car (more so than my bank balance!) I also drive a 1987 Austin Mini Mayfair which also has had tons spent on it to get it looking and going as good as it does now. The Fabia has seen a few audio and cosmetics tweaks already along with servicing stuff. It was brought totally standard with some paintwork scratches but a generally tidy car. Has had new front and rear pads and rear discs, NS driveshaft, a good service and some new tyres.

The fun stuff:

  • Yellow fog film (by far the most pleasing mod so far)
  • LCR Splitter
  • Pressed plates
  • White 5k MTEC bulbs, dipped and main, white sidelights, chromed indicator bulbs front and back
  • All interior bulbs LED
  • Xplod stereo with fli sub
  • Boot, bonnet and skirt resprayed, small dent removed
  • Stubby arial (looks good, awful signal, good job i listen to ipod!)
  • God knows how many hours deatiling, full AutoGlym HD wax

Future mods mainly revolve around handling and turbo. Probably going with Eibach Anti-Roll kit (ARBS and polybushes), probably -30mm springs, FARB etc. Hoping my new turbo whistle is a split hose and not turbo itself! Winter projects may also include caliper painting and spare alloys refurb.

Here are a few pics, all before nice new paint unfortunately:

After a good wash with mates scoob, sideskirt dent is now no longer :)

I will get better pics at some point! Look forward to more helpful information, and inspiration and maybe even meeting some people.

Cheers
