skoda felicia 1.6 r reg stalls at junctions does it whether engine hot or cold. when you change down the gears it cuts out. cleaned spark plugs,charged battery,and cleaned carb.

any suggestions whet to do next and can't locate tickover screw.

hubby says its injection but it has what looks like a carb, but any idea why it cuts out?

How was it cleaned? There is no tickover screw, I think.

No tickover screw, ecu controlled. That carb is just a throttle body. May need adaptation with vag com to correct or try carefully cleaning the points on the throttle closed on/off inside the black cover of the throttle body, as the ecu may not know you want tickover.

A reset to this - if you don't have VAG COM (computer to access the ECU) is to leave the battery off over night. Reconnect the next day and it should re-learn the value for the throttle.
