I agree, well worth the wait, its a amazingly quick car :)

Four months!

I ordered mine on August 12th 2011 with delivery estimated at February 2012 (I didn't want it until March, so it wasn't a problem)

I had an email from the dealer two weeks ago to say that it had been built and was ready for delivery now, which is great news and demonstrates that lead times may be getting shorter - Thirteen weeks in my case.

I still don't want it until March though because I'm planning to pay in cash, I still don't have the funds and now Christmas is on the horizon.. :|

Ordered mine at the start of Oct and collect it on Tuesday so about 9 weeks for me.

Ordered 1st October, registered on 30th November and collected today 3rd December.

9.5 months, worth it in the end though.

Ordered one and was told 4-5 months, after 3 weeks I ended up taking one which was already built an in the system

I ordered mine last day of march and was driving it home on 6th of june. I was one of the very lucky ones I think

I ordered mine on the 29th of March. Was told 10 weeks by the dealer, but had seen others waiting longer on here which was a little worrying :S

Shouldn't have worried though, collected the car on the 14th of June almost exactly 10 weeks from the order date.

Owned the car nearly 6 months now and still very happy with it :)

I didn't want to wait when I saw it so haggled the salesman and bought the demonstrator that I test drove back in October 2010 :D

Just under 8 weeks, ordered December 27th last year picked up Feb 19th !

At the time it was like i had won the lottery vs the normally waits.

Props to all the people that have endured the wait for theirs, I ordered a car from port, wasn't to my exact spec but was happy and only waited 3 weeks

Glad to hear that you're all enjoying the Fabia.

Lead times on the vRS have been terrible this year to be honest.

As some of you have found, getting one straight away from port is an option, even if its not exactly the one you want. Also good to hear that a couple of dealers have quoted 10 weeks or so and the cars been delivered by then.

We've had 3 that were ordered in January and the last one went out 2 weeks ago, fortunate for us the chap was in Spain for 6 months and the other two customers were aware of the long lead times. As long as the customer knows whats going on on a regular basis they are generally OK.

Enjoy the Fabias,

Lee

Couldn't agree more Lee, I had to chase my dealer for everything, think it was possibly the salesman rather than the dealership though. If I was to order a car with a long lead time as long as the dealer kept me updated regularly (every 2-4 weeks) I'd be happy :)
