Petrol Prices

Featured Replies

Petrol at my local Tesco service station has just dropped to 128.9 per litre.

Is this just the calm before the storm??

Been that here for weeks!

+1! Goood times (well, more like not quite as bad times!)

Momentum has been 1.33 a litre

Petrol is 1.26.7 and diesel is 1.36.7 at Asda down the road from me.

Someone on the radio was getting peoplemto call with their local fuel prices the other day, and the worst was diesel at £1. 61 a litre in caithness. Scary

I used to live up there and it was always at least 10p more expensive per ltr. That was about 9 years ago so not surprised that it even more of a difference now.

I wish diseasel was the same price as the green stuff.

That's how Scotland is gonna pay for it's independence, with massive fuel prices! :giggle:

I wouldn't put much hope on it. Just the lack of cold weather has meant a glut/dip in all energy sources, and I'd also wager that a 5p off if you spend £50 etc. offer has just expired as they always drop back after those. It's dropped a whole 1p here!

Petrol has been dropping, but diesel is either still the same or going up everywhere I pass with work.

Quick plug - look at www.petrolprices.com - not too far off .You'll have to register ,but it gives you an idea of local prices .AND the more tht boycott the high price merchants - more pressure there is on them to fall in line .

It's on its way back up again. If we get bad weather like last winter, watch prices go insane. Ours was 129.9 for u/l at Tesco, its now back up to 131.9 there, and 132.9 at Shell & BP

It's on its way back up again.

Add to this the increasing sabre-rattling over Iran & the prices will soon start heading very northwards again. :(

Still paying £1.35 here in North London.

Tescos abandoned their price guarantee a few years ago and therefore can be more expensive by a couple of pence than other gas stations in the area as they are here. I use the site below as I have one of their fuel cards and this is the largest fuel card system in the UK.

No registration required.

I just keep it in mind what the prices are but it can be 5p or so less per little in some areas where a price war breaks out or maximum prices where there is not a price war as here. Worcester is always on the high side where Birmingham is usually a few pence cheaper due to competition and you can get Shell which you cannot in worcester.

Just because it's come down from 135 to 126 doesn't mean it's not extortionate.

Price wars only exist in the media I've never notice a difference when they are shouting about them. Normally the price comes down by 1p everywhere and I'm suppose to feel like I'm saving a fortune. Or the gov tells me they're not putting it up by 3p so I'm saving lots and should be grateful [wander off into distance muttering curses]...
