Having a couple of days to think about this, it really was a close one. Another second or so either way and I wouldnt have been hit - fate eh?

I remember every millisecond of this incident, even from when he started lighting up his rear wheels 75 meters away (I've measured it on Google Earth). His foot didn't come off the gas at all, so we think he hit about 60 ish. I was probably doing 10-15 (just about to turn left), so for a 70mph head on, I dont think the Skoda did too badly at all. If you look at the pics (ive added some more) you'll see the whole cabin is intact - incredible really.

If he had started his final skid another 5 foot further on, he would have driven straight through my drivers door - that may have been a different story!

Just wondering because I know someone who was cut by an air bag when he was wearing glasses. Also others who have had ear damage.

Like others have said, glad you are OK....Metal is replaceable, unfortunately skin and bones are a different matter... As for the c*ck in the Porsche... He should have the book thrown at him.

As has been said before, make sure you get a good check over by a Doctor...
