Quick question !

Indirect TPMS - does the tpms light - light up on start up on a maxi dot instrument cluster

OR

Does this happen only with direct TPMS. ?

I have TPMS and Maxi Dot in my Octavia, when I start the car (and the dials do the staging swoop) I get the TPMS light show up for a few seconds, then it goes out with all the other ones that come on.

Never seen it in the Maxi Dot though.

I only ever saw the tyre pressure warning on my last Superb when I had the tyres changed and didn't reset the button.

Not sure what you mean by Direct and Indirect?

Direct - when tpms works with individual sensors in the wheels.

Indirect - when tpms works by measuring the diameter of the wheel using the ABS module !

I don't have sensors in the wheels but have activated indirect tpms .. But when the needles sweep the tpms light does not come on.. Is this a maxi dot thing ?
