Vac Pipes for n249 etc

Ok i decided even though my large ears couldn't really take the cold i would get on it and remove the n249 and 112 and after reading through plenty posts thought i was ready UNTIL i see 4 pipes in total

1 to the n249 the other to the 112 the other to the dv but then there is the 4th vac pipe that is on the actuator, in the stuff i have been reading it doesn't mention the actuator so does that mean i will need to get a t piece or reservoir to do this job

Sorry maybe I'm just missing something but i though the idea was to remove all the pipes as i don't really just want to bypass them, i have made all the resistors up ready

ah excellent thanks, again rob saving the day, so the green hose that i thought was a actuator vac line goes to the avap system. nice easy job then so ideally i need to run a new pipe to the avap

Can the avap be removed ?

I just took all the stuff off including the metal pipe thing thats all welded together and just put a join in and run abit of fuel hose with a 90 degree bend in it so it fitted back onto fuel rail and run down side of engine nice and neat,

Can tie clip pipe from dv to it then so it makes them look tidy

ok let me get this straight, the metal pipes that are welded together, do they all just carry vacuum or does one carry fuel cos I'm confused here ?

I want to simplify the vacuum so its got only what i really need, so from the nipple to the dv, i.e can i remove the welded pipes and just shorten the hose to the evap ?

sorry in just can't afford to start taking stuff off and have the car off the road till i replace parts lol

All them welded pipes do is carry vacuum and abit of evap which is basically fumes from fuel tank,

When i did mine i removed the secondary air pump, n249, n112 and egr valve off side of engine,

With all that removed the welded pipes don't really do alot so i removed them and used a length of 1.5mm silicon hose to pipe the dump valve back to the inlet manifold (little nipple on back of manifold that fed n249 and n112), then used some 8mm fuel hose and a join to pipe evap back into intake pipe altho abit of hose pipe will do tempory if you don't have any

So you completely removed the egr valve ? This I hadn't thought of doin but I think I just might remove it if I can

Removed all this just recently, N112, N249, SAI, EGR valve, worth doing to get rid of a lot of pipe work, there is some welded hard pipe under the injector rail, which carries coolant, it can be removed but you will need 1Metre of 10mm bore coolant pipe before you go ripping it out, runs from coolant bottle to the radiator top hose. So it's 10mm pipe for the coolant. Any idea what size the pipe is from the inlet manifold to brake servo ?

Only removed mine because I took off that much pipe work might as well remove as much as possibly can.
