Update: Now can't remove the brake servo - help! pleeze...

Featured Replies

Update at bottom... :(

Anybody got a spare kicking about they don't need? (willing to pay for it, obviously)

Can't bleed my brakes properly at the moment, real crappy pedal. About to try to connect up laptop to see if that helps but I'm not holding out hope! :(

Did you use a pressure bleeder or do it via foot power and which bleed nipple you broke off

Pressure bleeder. At approx 9psi.

Front nipple broke, back one feels like it's too tight to loosen off too. :(

The word, BUGGER, springs to mind. :(

Nope. VCDS lite won't see the cheap ebay lead I bought. Guess that's me off the road for a few days.

Anybody got any suggestions for a suitable lead?

Have you set the cable up right?

Take a look at one of my posts, how to make auto windows. Shows you how to do it.

No idea whether I did or not. Not registering that I'm even plugging in a USB I don't think.

Can't find the post anywhere... :(

Demo i've got a spare you can have for nothing, but BE WARNED these are a NIGHTMARE to fit i forgot to put the little cylinder type sleave thing back in the top of the brake pedal for the bolt to go through, -.- was so pi55ed off at my own stupidness

Shouldn't be a nightmare to fit. I only want to change the master cylinder, not the servo as well. Decided to go for a brand new one £63.something from TPS + VAT. Figured a 2nd hand one that has sat dry for a while might not be the best thing for the seals.

Thanks for the offers and help though guys, muchly appreciated.

Perhaps I'll be less heavy handed with the new one.

Okay, I made do with the sh!tty pedal I had for a while, but upon removing the master cylinder I had a servo full of fluid. So need new servo too now, since it won't be long before the fluid eats the seals I suspect. And I intend keeping this POS for a long time hopefully.

Now, I've hit a problem. How the he!! do I release the servo from the pedal. Not sure what to do to those plastic pins to make it happen.

Anybody??

Please!!
