Now that the 3 year warranty is history, a DIY oil and filter change seemed a good idea

Upon detaching the plastic panel under the oil filter, a severed cable popped into view.

This 2-core cable is colour coded Lilac/White and Brown/White and is encased in a black protective sheath clipped to a flexible pipe running across and behind the cooling fans. It appears that this cable was severed by one of the cooling fans.

Can anyone assist identify this cable

Brown/white is one of the 2 wires to the screen washer level switch on my 4X4. I can't see a lilac/white wire in that area though.
